IPL Schoeller was created in 2025 through the merger of IPL and Schoeller Allibert. Together, we bring decades of experience in providing packaging solutions that help our customers have smarter and sustainable supply chains.
IPL
1938 – IPL was founded as a small producer of household plastic goods.
2017 – One51 became IPL Plastics and acquired Macro Plastics to expand its footprint in returnable transport packaging.
2019 to 2021 – IPL grew through several acquisitions in North America, the UK and Europe building its expertise in recycling and circular materials.
Over the years, IPL became a leading manufacturer of rigid-plastic packaging solutions.
By 2024, IPL employed 2,500 people across 16 manufacturing sites.
Schoeller Allibert
1958 – The invention of the first plastic beverage crate marked the start of a new era in reusable transport packaging.
1960 to 2012 – A series of mergers between Europe’s leading packaging innovators led to the creation of Schoeller Allibert in 2012.
By 2024, the company employed around 1,600 people across 11 production sites.
