Operation Clean Sweep
Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) is a free, voluntary program supporting the plastics industry in raising awareness and implementing best practices to prevent pellet loss. Our French production sites in Gaillon and Nurieux have advanced their sustainability efforts by earning environmental certification from LRQA France, in alignment with Decree 2021-461, which targets microplastic pollution. Valid until March 2026, the certification confirms compliance with strict measures to prevent plastic granulate loss during the production and recycling of reusable plastic packaging. This achievement highlights our commitment to protecting the environment and reducing microplastic emissions. It positions the Gaillon and Nurieux sites as leaders in sustainable practices and reflects the company’s ongoing drive toward a greener, circular future. Many of our sites have committed to the OCS standards, and we are in the process of certifying them according to this standard.
Association of Plastics Recyclers (APR) in the US and Canada
The Association of Plastics Recyclers drives industry-wide circularity by setting recyclability standards, advocating for policy, creating market demand for post-consumer recycled plastics, and providing design guides that help ensure plastic packaging is optimized for recyclability.
Reusable Packaging Association (RPA) in the US
IPL Schoeller is engaged with RPA, which accelerates supply chain adoption and optimization of reusable packaging through education and advocacy.
